Tim Malcolm is an industry veteran with 10 year’s experience in real estate financing for seniors. He has enjoyed success as an Individual Loan Originator responsible for cultivating standalone transactions as well as managing field organizations. He frequently is a guest on local radio talk shows and events that focus on mortgage products for seniors. His primary goal is to educate both the potential senior customer and referral partners so each can make educated decisions and recommendations.

Prior to joining 1st Reverse Mortgage USA Tim achieved prominence and several leadership positions with Wells Fargo (6 years) and Xerox Corporation (34 years).

He is an accomplished and recognize speaker on general sales and Mortgage strategies. He is currently on the TMBSA board and provides support and leadership with other professional organizations such as IREP, CHSP Business Alliance, and Senior B to B. In the past he has held various leadership positions with several organizations on a local, state, and national level. Such as Special Olympics Texas Development Board, YMCA Advisory Board, Fellowship of Christian Athletes College Staff, and Harvest School Board.

He attended college at NMSU on an athletic scholarship (football) and graduated with a BS in Industrial Engineering. He was a co-founder/organizer of the NMSU Chapter for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. During high school he lettered six times in various sports and earned the rank of Eagle Scout with 3 palms, Order of the Arrow, and God and Country.

He continues to enjoy all sports both as a participant and fan. Tim also enjoys fine dining, traveling, dancing, and plays.

His most cherished activity is time with his daughter Christina.

Reverse Mortgage

A Reverse Mortgage/Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM) is the Federal Housing Administration’s (FHA) federally backed reverse mortgage program and the most popular method for seniors to withdraw some of the equity in your home. To be eligible you must be 62+, own your home, be able to pay ongoing property charges, taxes and insurance, and the home must be your primary residence.


Home Equity for Conversion Mortgage for Purchase.

An FHA HECM for purchase is when a senior, age 62 or older, can buy a new principal residence using the proceeds from a reverse mortgage loan. This program enables these homeowners to relocate or downsize to a home that better meets their physical needs.
