Now that we are settled in (still messy and disorganized though), I just wanted to tell you how sincerely wonderful Steve Willmer was throughout our home buying experience. I have already referred one of my friends to him, and will gladly keep referring friends to him whenever I can. He is extremely polite, professional, and explained everything to me in a way that made sense - especially since we were first time buyers. He never once made me feel like I was bothering him and was incredibly easy to get a hold of. What really impressed me the most was that he knew our area was a community reinvestment area - which saved us money on our loan.

In regards to 1^st Mortgage of Illinois, I found them to be one of the most honest and up front businessmen I have ever dealt with.

When we were looking for a mortgage they was able to quickly find us a lender. They explained fully the details of how a mortgage works and how the loan agreement would be, and then listed all the documentation needed and requirements. They did a wonderful job across the board, with all the numerous details as we went along.

My mortgage was, or had to be, a difficult one because the closing was about 4 months out from start to finish and with the constantly fluctuating market I was glad I had them to keep me posted and work with me throughout that time period. We closed the deal without a hitch.
